Deck replacement with Desert Crete and railing stabilization
|
The Problem:
Magnesite on the deck is badly cracked and uneven due to
doming which usually indicates damage to wood sub-floor. Railing is
unstable due to posts being rusted through.

|
The Preparation: Existing magnesite and wood sub-floor is removed and replaced with 3/4 inch CDX plywood. New railing plates are installed and welded to railings. 15# felt paper and wire mesh are installed over new wood.

The Solution: Desertcrete/fiberglass is installed. An anti-slip texture is sprayed on the deck and is sealed with two coats of Desert Sealer.
