The Problem: Existing railing pickets, the brown ones pictured below, are six inches apart and liability insurance requires less than four inches.

Solution: Install additional picket in between existing pickets. Note, using a smaller size, the ones that are bare steel, allow the reduction in spacing without creating a jail house effect. New steel to be primed and painted after installation.
